This oil does not spoil for a long time, the shelf life is more than a year. Quality ghee has a rich bright yellow color and a pleasant aroma.
Ghee contains unsaturated fatty acids (35%) with a short chemical bond, which allows the oil to be easily absorbed in the body without creating harmful cholesterol.
Ghee oil is rich in trace elements important for health. Contains sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, as well as vitamins A (reduces the risk of atherosclerosis) and E (antioxidant); linoleic acid (development of organs and tissues), nicotinic acid.
Useful advice: to strengthen the immune system, eat on an empty stomach in the morning a mixture of equal parts of melted butter, honey, dried fruits, nuts.
Recipe for fragrant rice with saffron, cooked in ghee oil
Ingredients: spices (saffron, bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon), ghee oil - 3 tbsp. l., basmati rice - 1.5 cups, water 2.5 cups.
Lightly heat the ghee oil on the bottom of the pan. Add to it all the spices, except saffron. Constantly stirring the mixture over low heat, wait until the spices reveal their flavor. Add the washed basmati rice to the pan, mix with the spicy flavored mixture and then cook on low heat until the rice is completely caramelized, i.e. not soaked with oil. A pinch of saffron pour boiling water (0.5 cups). Pour boiling water over rice (2.5 cups), add water with saffron, salt, mix and bring to a boil. Cook rice on low heat for 10 minutes, until all the water is absorbed, then cover the pan with a lid and cook until ready (about 5-10 minutes more). Let the rice cooked infuse.
